Cancellation and Refund Policy

At The Wardrobe Shillong, we take great care in packaging and delivering your orders. Please read our policy carefully before making a purchase.

1. Order Cancellation

Before Dispatch:

  • You may cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it by contacting us at thewardrobeshillong@gmail.com or calling +91 9310153660.
  • If the order has already been dispatched, cancellation is not possible.

After Dispatch:

  • Orders that have already been shipped cannot be cancelled. Please refuse delivery if you no longer wish to receive the order, and contact us immediately.

2. Return Policy

We accept returns only in the following cases:

  • The item received is damaged or defective
  • The item received is incorrect (wrong product or size sent)

We do not accept returns for:

  • Change of mind or wrong size ordered by the customer
  • Items that have been used, washed, or altered
  • Items without original tags and packaging
  • Sale or discounted items (unless damaged/defective)

3. How to Raise a Return Request

If your item qualifies for a return:

  1. Contact us at thewardrobeshillong@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery
  2. Include your order number, a brief description of the issue, and clear photographs of the damaged/incorrect item
  3. Our team will review your request within 2–3 business days
  4. If approved, we will arrange a reverse pickup or provide return instructions

Do not ship items back without prior approval from our team.

4. Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect the returned item:

  • If approved, a full refund will be initiated to your original payment method (UPI, credit/debit card, net banking, etc.)
  • Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days of approval
  • Depending on your bank, it may take an additional 3–5 business days to reflect in your account
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable

5. Exchange Policy

If you received a damaged or wrong item, we are happy to offer an exchange for the same item (subject to availability) instead of a refund. Please mention your preference when raising the request.

6. Non-Returnable Items

The following cannot be returned or refunded under any circumstances:

  • Innerwear, swimwear, or intimate apparel (for hygiene reasons)
  • Customised or made-to-order items
  • Gift cards
